Our approach

It’s great when you know exactly what you want, but many projects don’t arrive on our doorstep with a fully formed how-to plan.

At BrandPipe our first concern is making sure the work we do enables you to achieve your business objectives now and in future. We look at your current goals but also how they might change over time, directly influencing how we approach a project. You might need to sell one product today but if there’s a chance you’ll want to add another in the future, we’ll plan for that, meaning we’ll embed the capability for you to add another without needing additional development in future. This saves you money and speeds up your ability to act quickly on a shifting business plan.

When we have a deep understanding for the direction of travel of your business, we’ll write up a proposal that says in plain language our approach to solving the problem. You’ll get transparent pricing, delivery schedules and clarity over what’s in scope during the development phase, warranty period and beyond. If we need you to fund a Change Request it’ll be because of a known, material shift in the agreed project deliverables. Where we’re operating the service on your behalf (within leased infrastructure) you’ll know what costs to accrue on an ongoing basis, the Service Level Agreement we can commit to along with the Terms & Conditions covering the engagement.

Most new clients appoint us on a fixed price pay-for-play basis for our first collaboration, evolving into more verbose written undertakings after we demonstrate the benefits and success of the relationship. We’ll usually ask you to commit to upfront part-funding the first project, depending on its size but you’ll have certainty over the total costs meaning we both take a share of the risk. We’re not bound by a single track approach to project delivery so we’ll work with you to accommodate the methodology embedded within your organisation. If you need to on-board a new supplier through a more involved procurement process from the outset, that’s totally fine too – we’ve answered a lot of INFOSEC questionnaires in our time so there’s no reason to hold back on necessary paperwork.

When we’re up and running you’ll have regular contact with at least one Company Founder or Partner during the lifetime of the project and our relationship; there’s no bait-and-switch and we won’t farm out our efforts to distant subcontractors in faraway locations – customer data always remains within the appropriate jurisdiction and we’ll either seek express permission or provide you with adequate notice to object to our proposing a function of the project to be fulfilled overseas (for example if we have a preference to service a UK customer with an email platform domiciled in the USA). We strictly vet all suppliers of enabling services procured by BrandPipe selecting well known, widely supported best in class operators.

We’ll work in close collaboration with any other personnel you have appointed (internal to you and your 3rd parties) providing polite, expert and skilled resource to satisfy their needs and concerns as they arise. You’ll be able to lean on our capabilities wherever you have a gap, safe in the knowledge of our proven history of providing excellent finished products and services with very little client involvement where the circumstances demanded it.
